9 June 2013.

ICA 2013 is done and was a great success!

With 2300 registrants, over 1600 technical papers, and 49 Exposition booths, ICA 2013 was one of the biggest meetings in acoustics ever!

A Plenary lecture led off each day of technical sessions. All five Plenary lecturers -- Stan Dosso, Hugo Fastl, Murray Campbell, Tapio Lokki, and Hideki Tachibana -- gave very good talks.

The Opening Ceremony featured historical re-enactors from the Oyez Oyez troupe and stunning performances by the circus troupe Cirque Éloize. The Closing Ceremony featured performances by the Juno-award-winning Joel Miller trio. A Monday evening concert in St. Jean Baptiste church by the world-renowned orchestral group I Musici wowed the audience.

Now, we look forward to ICA 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

24 May 2013. For authors with lecture-style presentations, the online Presentation Management site is available to receive your presentation. Early transmission of your presentation will help ensure a smooth technical program. The online site will be available until June 1st at 1:00 p.m. EST. Beyond that time all file submissions will need to be done onsite in the ICA2013 Audio/Visual Preview Room (523ab). Your lecture presentation should be uploaded into the Presentation Management system at least 24 hours before the start of the session in which it is to be presented. Please note that authors will not be able to use their personal laptops for their presentations. Use of the presentation management system eliminates the disruption caused by switching computers in the middle of a session. Similarly, authors will not be able to project their presentations from a USB flash drive during their technical session.

21 May 2013. Tickets are still available for the Monday evening concert. The well-known chamber orchestra I Musici, under the direction of conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni, will perform at the historical Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased onsite at ICA 2013 when you check in at the registration desk.
